Is there an ability to programmatically create Avatars?

Hi team,

I am writing this to follow up on a comment made by David Yi regarding the ability to generate Avatars programmatically.

"We currently don't have a programatic way of creating Avatars as Avatars require consent footage to be uploaded but if there is a high demand for it, we can help expose such a way."

I would like to officially raise this as a critical requirement.

The use case

We are currently evaluating Live Avatar as a vendor for our platform. Our architecture relies on a user-driven workflow where end-users generate their own custom avatars, voices, knowledge bases, etc.

Because of this, we cannot rely on a manual workflow (e.g., logging into the dashboard to upload consent footage for every single user). To scale effectively, we need the ability to handle the entire lifecycle via API.

The requirement

To proceed with the integration, we specifically need endpoints that allow us to:

  1. Upload consent footage: Programmatically pass the video file verifying user consent.
  2. Trigger avatar generation: Initiate the training process using the uploaded footage and receive the resulting avatar_id via webhook or response.

Business impact

Currently, the lack of this feature is a blocker for us adopting Live Avatar. We are eager to move forward, but we require a fully headless/programmatic solution to manage user generated content at scale.

Is this something that can be prioritized on the roadmap? We would be happy to beta test this endpoint if it becomes available.

Thanks!
Cody
